Article Featuring Building

This article states that the intent of the shell of the building lies behind the illustration of the fans entering the stadium as a rhythmic procession. The crater-like atmosphere that the stadium gives the spectator is mimicked from Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The colors of the ETFE cushioned plates that adorn the outside of the building can be changed to suit the occasion. The website link is attached here.

Website Featuring Architects

The architects behind the Allianz Arena are Herzog and de Meuron. In 2006, the New York Times called their architecture firm, "One of the most admired architecture firms in the world." They both have been teaching their techniques at the Harvard Graduate School of Design since 1994 pertaining to their work in Munich. Every single one of their firm's buildings has received some sort of recognition or award.

Interview

I have attached an introduction to the interview here. Samsung business insider conducts the actual interview with Bernd Ingerling who serves as the Managing Director of BTD. He is very involved with management consulting amongst sports management in Germany specifically. Previously, he held the highest corporate managerial position that the Munich-based club, TSV 1860, has to offer. One of the two clubs that call Allianz Arena their home. The original interview is in German; however, one can simply translate the entire interview by clicking the translate option at the top of the article.

Video about Building

I have attached a video from YouTube that allows everyone to get a better understanding of Allianz arena from the inside of the structure. This video sheds a unique light upon what it would be like to be a member of the crowd at Allianz, the press as they eagerly await interviews, or one of the players of FC Bayern.

Photographs of the Interior

Title: Black Hole of Humanity
alksjdfjsa;fCaption: This vantage point of the picture comes from an actual seat that fans purchase. However, the concavity of the roof gives a certain uneasy feeling of darkness similar to that of what one would assume a black hole looks like. Every fan is drawn towards the extremely well lit pitch of the field. Consequently, most fans do not even notice the darkness that surrounds the stadium.

Allianz Arena is located in Munich, Germany. Although this is the third largest city in Germany, Allianz Arena happens to be in the extreme northern part of the city. Therefore, the stadium is surrounded by an interesting blend of green fields and a concrete jungle of major highways. This allows for visitors to reap the benefits of a rural landscape without the feeling of strangulation that most large cities give off.

I was able to find a photo of Allianz Arena from a microscopic view that shows merely the gift shop at the arena on the website "Flickr." The photo illustrates the complexity of the building as a structure. The arena has numerous levels that sandwich on top of each other delicately. This picture shows that layering through structural support that can be seen in the staircase-stepping pattern of the cement next to the "Fan Shop" banner.
