The architects behind the Allianz Arena are Herzog and de Meuron. In 2006, the New York Times called their architecture firm, "One of the most admired architecture firms in the world." They both have been teaching their techniques at the Harvard Graduate School of Design since 1994 pertaining to their work in Munich. Every single one of their firm's buildings has received some sort of recognition or award.
